Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland... YES! YES!
Oh my gosh, just saw these pictures posted on comingsoon.net and I am so frickin excited I could do cartwheels!
The costume design looks AMAZING and the art, the setting... HOLY COW this is EXACTLY as I pictured Lewis Carroll's book! Quirky, colorful, a little dark, crazy, wonderful!!!
Mia Wasikoska will be Alice. I haven't seen her in anything and there are only a few pictures of her IMDB... it will be interesting to see how she is transformed. *edit* Found this scan of her in Disney-Twenty-Three magazine...

The cast in general seems perfect for the roles they will play. Alan Rickman as the 'The Caterpillar' OMG with that droning voice of his... so perfect!
Release date... March 5th, 2010... oooooo, so far away!

A slight annoyance
This day has been a little vexing perhaps? I don't know, I've been feeling restless. It's nearly 2 AM.
I have an enormous bug bite on one arm and it's swelling up and grossing me out. Randomly a red translucent looking insect bit me a couple days ago and it's still itching! That jerk.
Seoul Gardens was closed and we were looking so forward to chowing down on Korean food. *sigh* We got sushi instead. Nice, but not the same, especially when you don't eat all day so you have room in your belly for yummy banchan, bulgogi, and samgipsal.
Officially disappointed.
J is watching a zombie movie and all the CHOMP CHOMP and screaming is stressing me out. I need to wind down and start getting to sleep earlier. Everyday this week I've been dragging myself to bed around 3:30 AM and waking up at 8 or 9.
Warm milk perhaps? How do you get yourself to sleep?

Hey, hey for a little bit
Sorry I haven't posted in quite a long while. I get so wrapped up with everything else in life and with work I just sort of put other things on hold.
Couple things...
1.] I've had a haircut. Cut off about 6-8 inches of hair. It's still pretty long, but I'm already missing my down-to-my-waist hair.
Au revoir long hair...
2.] My computer got fried last week during a lightning storm. SEVERELY ANNOYED as all my work was on that computer. Thankfully, my files are safe, but a new motherboard needs to be put in so it's in the shop for the next 2 weeks. ARG! ARG! I'm on this old super slow computer I keep around for backup. Having fun looking through old pictures.
3.] Might be moving... yet again. But that's ok. I actually look forward to starting over in a new place. New house, new friends to be made, new stores to peruse through *hehe*, new furniture to buy... lots of options open... L.A., Shanghai, France, Milan... hmmm... we'll see... should know in a couple weeks.
I need, want, must have... A VACATION. Augh. My last trip was when J & I backpacked in Guatemala... and that was 2 years ago. I'm itching to go somewhere.

I couldn't believe they let me try the clothes on at the museum! HAHA. The curator (guy) was really patient with all the questions I had about all the colors, patterns, the meanings of the embroidery... The young woman next to me was showing me how to weave (looks very complicated). Despite only having my hiking bag, I did end up buying a few Guatemalan blouses, jewelry, and some textiles for the house.

A warm glow about her...
WARNING: THIS CONTAINS NUDITY!
I simply had to share this photographer's work, I fell in love immediately. His use of warm light... just perfect. That late afternoon glow before the sun dips away for nightfall. I love photos that have that soft feeling. I want to try to capture this sort of look in my photography (although without the nudity)

The 8th day of rain...
It has been EIGHT... EIGHTTTT straight days of rain. I cannot believe this! I'm starting to feel like Noah.
Off to the gym for a bit. I haven't been to the gym in over 2 months *bleh* I'm not a fan of it. But for some reason I feel motivated today. Maybe it's because last night my friends and I were chatting about exercise and they could not believe I don't workout because I'm skinny, but really I'm not that skinny and definitely not healthy as I can't even run down a block without gasping for air.
It's kind of bad. It will all catch up to me sooner than later, I know it.
Ok, no more procrastinating, off I go!
